US jobless rate falls to 7.8 pct., 44-month low

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/us-jobless-rate-falls-7-123110106.html

This article says that the unemployment rate is 7.8 percent, the lowest it has been in 4 years. If the number unemployed people is going down why would be change what we're doing? President Obama seems to be having a handle on things and it seems silly to me to make changes when things are actually looking up.

The "U.S. could be growing jobs at a marginally faster pace than feared mid-summer," Guy LeBas, a strategist at Janney Capital Markets, wrote in a research note. "Even with the issues in Europe and slowing production in China, U.S. economic activity does not look to be bearing the brunt of global downside, at least not anymore."

  1. I hate that people get mad at Obama for unemployment. He came into office when the U.S. was already on a road to disaster. Aside from that, U.S. citizens are so ignorent in thinking that once you elect a president with good ideas everything will change right away. That is not possible. Everything a president does in their first four years in mainly set up by the president before them, then if they get elected again, that is when bills and such have been passed and the U.S. starts to see change. After that the cycle continues. I wish that people would stop giving Obama such a hard time.

  2. Stephanie is right, I do feel that the unemployment rate is not something we can blame on Obama. He stepped in at such a bad time. He had so much to tackle within his first few months in the White House. Plus with something like this, it will take some time for it to continue going down. If things continue the way they are going right now, we should be doing well a few years down the road.
